Getting started - 7 Steps

This is 242 in 7... 7 steps to starting a 242 group in your school - today!

From start to finish, we’ve got your back - have a watch of the video or just read through the steps yourself, and of course - drop us an email if you have any questions.

    1. Prayer - The POWERHOUSE behind your 242 – This is really where it all starts, in prayer! Find a prayer guide for your school here

    2. Partner up!  - Find someone else or a few others who share your love for Jesus to work together to start your 242 

      Don’t feel like you need to do it on your own, the bible says two is better than one! Feel free to reach out to us for help in starting up 

    3. Reach your teacher – Get permission from your headteacher/School chaplain to Start your 242 

      • It’ll be on you to get your school onboard and tell them why you want to start this and how things will work, we’ve got a template to your teacher that will hopefully help you out! Find it in the resources page

    4. Time to get going!

      • Once you've got the green light, its time to get your 242 group going! 

      • Set your date at least a month in advance for when you’ll start the 1st session,  we’d recommended meeting once a week.

      • Distribute promo material around your school, we’ve got you covered for this as well, check out some editable posters here

    5. Register your 242– Click the register tab on our website, type in your details and let us know how we can support you! 

    6. Launch week – You've done it! Your 242 has launched! But... what to do for your 1st few sessions? 

      • Don’t worry! As soon as you've registered your 242 group we'll give you access to all the pre planned sessions we have available

    7. Cookin up Content – What will your sessions look like from now on? It’s up to you and the Lord, but we’re still here to help you - Introducing the 5 G’s!
